معرفی
Carla-Lena Peter is a doctoral researcher at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), affiliated with the Department of Computational Hydrosystems. Her research focuses on the soil-plant-atmosphere continuum and modeling complex systems, specifically coupling dynamic vegetation models with the mesoscale hydrologic model (mHM) as part of the interdisciplinary LandTrans Simulator project. She aims to analyze landscape multifunctionality under global change scenarios.
Education:
- Since 2023: PhD candidate at UFZ, part of the LISA PhD College
- 2023: M.Sc. Environmental Science, Goethe University, Frankfurt
- 2020: B.Sc. BioGeoSciences, Friedrich-Schiller University, Jena
Research Interests: Her work integrates hydrological and ecological modeling to improve high-resolution land simulations. She explores how local processes influence global climate interactions, contributing to predictive frameworks for landscape dynamics under climate change.
Grants & Collaborations:
- Member of the LISA PhD College
- Part of the LandTrans Simulator interdisciplinary team
Labs/Teams: Active in the Computational Hydrosystems department, collaborating on projects like the 4DHydro initiative to enhance hydrological modeling through Earth Observation data integration.
