Carla Ganito

Carla Ganito is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of International Relations at the Faculty of Human Sciences, Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP). She is a main researcher at the Research Centre for Communication and Culture (CECC), where she leads the group on “Digital Literacy and Cultural Change.”

Education: PhD in Communication Sciences (UCP).

Research Focus: Her work spans four core areas: mobile technologies, gender and technology, digital literacy (including digital reading), and digital life’s impact on cultural change. Notable projects include Património Cultural e Transformação Digital (2018–2019) and participation in the EU-funded COST Action IS1404 – Evolution of reading in the age of digitization (E-READ) (2014–2019).
