Carl Zimmer

Carl Zimmer is an Adjunct Professor of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry and Lecturer in English at Yale University. He serves as the science columnist for The New York Times and has authored 15 books, including Air-Borne, Life’s Edge, and She Has Her Mother’s Laugh. His work bridges scientific rigor with accessible writing, earning awards like the Pulitzer Prize (as part of NYT’s pandemic coverage) and the Stephen Jay Gould Prize.
