Carl Williams is a Professor at Flagler College’s Division of Graduate and Education Programs. He coordinates the English Education Program and teaches courses such as Methods of Teaching English and Principles of Content Reading. His research focuses on literacy development, strategies for content area reading, and best practices for deaf and hard-of-hearing students. He has published three books and multiple articles, and his work emphasizes teacher preparation and educational equity.

Dr. Williams has received several awards, including the Kappa Delta Pi Professor of the Year Award and two Student Government Association Faculty Member of the Year Awards. His professional affiliations include the Association of College Educators for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the National Council of Teachers of English. He also mentors through the Take Stock in Children Program, supporting youth in achieving college and career goals.
