Carl McPherson is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Wellesley College. He specializes in applied microeconomics at the intersection of public and labor economics, utilizing large administrative datasets and quasi-experimental methods to generate policy-relevant insights.
- Education: B.A. from Williams College, Ph.D. from University of California-Berkeley
His research prioritizes causal effect estimation, economic statistics measurement improvement, and policy analysis for governmental stakeholders. Current teaching includes Econometrics (ECON 203), with plans to develop elective courses and student research collaborations.
