Carl D. Shannon

Carl D. Shannon is a Lecturer in Real Estate Development + Design, currently serving as Senior Managing Director and Regional Director — Northern California at Tishman Speyer. He oversees the firm's portfolio in the San Francisco Bay Area and Pacific Northwest, managing high-profile developments like Lumina, The Infinity, and Mira, as well as office buildings at Foundry Square III, 222 Second Street, and 555 Mission. He collaborates with the San Francisco Giants on Mission Rock and sits on Tishman Speyer's Investment and Management Committees.

Education: Graduated from Harvard University with an AB (magna cum laude) and an MBA (high honors).

Teaching focuses on real estate finance and capital markets, including courses such as RDEV 220 (Foundation Principles for Real Estate Development Finance), RDEV 225 (Applications in Real Estate Finance), and RDEV 235 (Real Estate Capital Markets). His professional experience spans roles at GE Capital and The Prudential Insurance Company of America prior to joining Tishman Speyer in 1998.
