Carl D. Herickhoff

Carl D. Herickhoff is an Assistant Professor in the Biomedical Engineering Department at the University of Memphis, specializing in novel ultrasound imaging systems and transducer development for clinical diagnostics and therapy.

His educational background includes:

• B.S. (magna cum laude) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame (2005)
• M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University (2009)
• Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University (2011)

His research integrates transducer array design, waveform inversion algorithms, and clinical application development, with current projects targeting transcranial neuroimaging, intravascular elasticity mapping, and superharmonic contrast imaging systems.
