Carisa Davis

Carisa Davis is a Lecturer at Kean University's Dorothy and George Hennings College of Science, Mathematics and Technology. She holds a PhD in Medical Sciences, an MS in Biology, and a BS in Biology.

Her research specializes in molecular microbiology, foodborne pathogens, and biodefense strategies. She has developed rapid detection methods using real-time PCR and molecular typing techniques for outbreak investigations. Her current work focuses on pandemic and non-pandemic strains of Vibrio parahaemolyticus and bacterial transmission pathways.
