Carey Doyle is a Research Fellow at Scotland's Rural College (SRUC), affiliated with the Rural Policy Centre and the Rural Economy Environment and Society School. They hold a PhD in Migration, Planning, and Superdiversity from Queen's University Belfast (2018). Their work focuses on land governance, land reform, community empowerment, and rural policy, with a strong emphasis on bridging research and practice to improve land outcomes. Since 2020, they have specialized in Scottish community landownership and land reform, leading projects like the 'Community Ownership Hub: Glasgow and Clyde Valley.' Their research integrates qualitative and quantitative methods, including action research, spatial analysis, and participatory workshops.
