Cara Gonzalez Welker holds the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder, with appointments in:

Dr. Welker's research focuses on developing effective assistive devices for individuals with movement impairments and to augment movement in healthy populations to reduce fatigue and injury. Her interdisciplinary approach integrates:

to understand human-device system interactions. The Welker Lab actively contributes to rehabilitation robotics through conferences including the Rocky Mountain American Society of Biomechanics (2024, 2025) and International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics (2025 in Chicago).
