Cansu Korkmaz

Asst. Prof. Cansu Korkmaz is an academic at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, serving in the Faculty of Law, Department of Private Law. She has held her assistant professor position since 2023, following a 10-year tenure as a research assistant at the same institution. From 2024 onward, she also serves as Director of the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University International Arbitration Application and Research Center.

Research Interests focus on Civil Procedure Law, Industrial Property Rights, and Bankruptcy Law, with particular emphasis on German legal systems. Her work explores arbitration agreements, mediation practices, and enforcement mechanisms for industrial property rights. She has conducted comparative studies between Turkish and German legal frameworks and has lectured on Turkish Law at Trier University (2023-2024).

Publications show a consistent focus on legal theory and practice, including arbitration validity, tender termination criteria, and enforcement challenges. Her research integrates Turkish and German jurisprudence, particularly evident in her 2025 article analyzing arbitration agreement validity in relation to form requirements.
