Cansu Canbek

Assistant Professor Cansu Canbek is affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering at Yeditepe University, where she serves in the Department of Materials Science and Nanotechnology Engineering. She also holds the position of Deputy Director of the Institute for both the Materials and Nanotechnology Engineering PhD Program and the Analytical Chemistry Master's Program.

Recent publications highlight her interdisciplinary work combining materials science, bioengineering, and communication technologies. Key research themes include nanoparticle synthesis, field interactions in nanowires, and biodegradable sensor systems for plant monitoring.

Dr. Canbek has supervised multiple MSc theses and contributed to projects related to nanomaterials for photothermal therapy and carbon capture, including a TÜBITAK 1004 project as principal investigator.
