Caner İmren is an Assistant Professor at Istanbul Technical University's Department of Geophysical Engineering, within the Faculty of Mining Engineering. He holds a PhD in Geophysical Engineering from the same institution. His research focuses on tectonics, seismic studies, and marine geology, with notable contributions to understanding the North Anatolian Fault and the geodynamics of the Marmara Sea region. He has led projects like the investigation of the Ancient City of Perinthos-Heraklia using geophysical methods.
