Caner İlhan is a researcher at Istanbul Technical University's Faculty of Aviation and Aeronautical Sciences, affiliated with the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering.

His research interests center on sustainable aviation technologies, including hydrogen propulsion, fuel cell systems, and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF). He participated in the Athens program and studied renewable energy systems at the University of Bucharest Politehnica during his master's studies.
