Caner Taçoğlu is currently affiliated with Izmir University of Economics, Department of Industrial Engineering. He completed his PhD at Istanbul Technical University in 2019 and maintains an active research profile while working with international blockchain companies as an advisor, author, and community manager.
His educational background includes:
- B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Izmir University of Economics (2009), graduated as an honor student and 4th in ranking
- B.A. in Business Administration from Izmir University of Economics (double major)
- M.S. in Engineering with Business Management from King's College London (2012), graduated as an honor student
Dr. Taçoğlu's research focuses on Competitiveness, Operations Management, MCDM (Multi-Criteria Decision Making), Lean Thinking, SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises), and Blockchain. His work bridges traditional industrial engineering concepts with emerging blockchain technologies, particularly examining how these technologies can enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness across various sectors.
His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on cryptocurrency market dynamics and their relationship with traditional financial markets, as well as applications of big data analytics in circular economy initiatives within healthcare. His research shows an interdisciplinary approach combining industrial engineering principles with financial analysis and sustainability practices.
Dr. Taçoğlu previously served as a research assistant at Izmir University of Economics from 2014 to 2019 and continues to maintain his academic affiliation while engaging in industry consulting work.
