Candice Washington

Candice Washington is an Instructor and Ph.D. Student in the School of Building Construction (part of the College of Design) at Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). She is also the CEO and Founder of Cancave Management and Cancave Engineering, privately-owned construction management and engineering firms. With over 25 years of professional experience, her expertise spans construction management, capital improvement initiatives, facility master planning, and project management.

Education: Candice holds a Bachelor of Business Management, a Master of Science in Project Management, and a Master of Science in Building Construction and Facility Management. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. while maintaining her roles as an academic instructor and industry professional.

Research interests focus on practical applications of construction management methodologies, facility optimization, and project management strategies in both academic and corporate settings. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with real-world implementation in construction and engineering sectors.

Notably, she is a licensed General Contractor, integrating industry experience with academic contributions. Current academic involvement includes teaching and doctoral research in building construction disciplines.
