Candace Chatman is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for Pediatrics at the University of Southern California (USC) Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. She holds a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy (OTD) from USC, a Master’s in Science in Occupational Therapy from California State Dominguez Hills, and a Master’s in Teaching Special Education from Loyola Marymount University. Her expertise spans pediatric occupational therapy, sensory integration, and early intervention programming.

Dr. Chatman’s research focuses on measuring the impact of group-based early intervention programs on sensory integration in children aged 18 months to 3 years, conducted in collaboration with the SensoryLab under Dr. Stefanie Bodison. She also contributed to teaching through USC’s pedagogy track, assisting Dr. Amber Bennett and Dr. Camille Dieterle.
As Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, she oversees site development, student mentorship, and fieldwork collaboration across occupational therapy settings. She serves as Co-Chair of the Student Leadership Committee for the Occupational Therapy Association of California (OTAC).
