Canan SAĞIROĞLU is a Lecturer (Doctor) at Adıyaman University's Faculty of Tourism, affiliated with the Tourism Management Department. She holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University (2021), an MA in International Relations from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (2012), and a BSc in International Relations from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University's Biga Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (2008).
Professionally, she has served as Assistant Farabi Institution Coordinator at Adıyaman University (2012–2019) and currently holds academic roles in both the Tourism Management Department and the former Political Science and Public Administration Department. She teaches courses spanning tourism management, political science, entrepreneurship, and ethics.
Her research focuses on international relations, Middle Eastern regional dynamics, refugee policies, and conflict studies. Notable projects include the DECAMI initiative addressing refugee support services. Her publications explore topics like post-pandemic governance, Tamil conflicts, and Congolese armed conflict law.
SAĞIROĞLU has authored/co-authored three books and multiple peer-reviewed articles. She actively participates in international conferences, presenting on themes ranging from hospitality industry body language to post-COVID political systems.
