Camille Cobb is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Illinois, affiliated with the Siebel Center for Computer Science. Her research focuses on usable security and privacy, emphasizing marginalized perspectives often excluded from tech discourse. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Washington (2019) and completed postdoctoral work at Carnegie Mellon University's CyLab.

Research Interests: Usable security and privacy, ethical technology design, inclusive cybersecurity, privacy in smart homes, and addressing systemic gaps in tech accessibility. She prioritizes participatory approaches to ensure diverse voices shape security practices.
Teaching: Recent courses include CS 464 (Societal Impacts of Tech), CS 591 IC (Interactive Computing), and specialized topics like Inclusive Cybersecurity & Privacy (CS 598 CAC). Her pedagogy integrates real-world ethical challenges.
Advising & Mentoring: Supervises multiple Ph.D. students at UIUC and has mentored undergraduates, masters students, and even high schoolers. Notable advisees include Yi-Shyuan Chiang, Yeeun Jo, and Omar Khan.
Labs & Collaborations: Formerly part of UW's Security & Privacy Research Lab and Information School. Current work at UIUC continues interdisciplinary approaches to HCI and security.
