Camilla Brown

Camilla Brown is a Senior Lecturer in the Creative Industries at Middlesex University, affiliated with the School of Film. Her research explores contemporary photographic practice with a focus on curatorial perspectives and the role of research in artistic production.

Her interests include the intersection of personal and political narratives in photography, new models for photography collections in the digital age, and critical examinations of artistic practice. She has published extensively on topics ranging from the work of individual artists to broader theoretical frameworks in visual culture.

Brown has contributed to exhibitions such as 'Exposure 3: Human Drama and Documentary' at the Institute of Contemporary Art, London, and has written about artists including Sally Mann, Gayle Chong Kwan, and Bettina von Zwehl.
