Dr. Camelia Quek is an NHMRC Investigator Fellow at Melanoma Institute Australia and Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Sydney. She holds advanced degrees including a PhD in Neuroscience and Computational Biology (Sawyer Medal, University of Melbourne) and a Bachelor of Advanced Science in Molecular Biology (University Medal, UNSW).

Her research focuses on melanoma immunotherapy, single-cell multi-omics, and spatial biology to identify biomarkers of response/resistance and druggable targets. She pioneered tools like iSRAP for small RNA-seq analysis and MIT for spatial multiomics integration.
Recent publications in Nature, Nature Medicine, and Cancer Cell highlight her work on tumor-immune interactions and obesity-melanoma metabolism links. Awards include 2022 CINSW Wildfire Highly Cited Award and 2021 Millennium Science Start Single Cell Award.
