Caitrin Lynch is a Professor of Anthropology at Olin College of Engineering, where she teaches interdisciplinary courses bridging anthropology with design, engineering, and entrepreneurship. She previously served as Dean of Faculty at Olin from 2021 to 2023.

Her research focuses on the intersection of work dynamics, cultural values, aging, and gender within global manufacturing and technology contexts. She explores the political economy of industries and advocates for qualitative methods in engineering education.
Recent publications include two books analyzing aging in American factories (2012) and gender politics in Sri Lanka's garment industry (2007). Current projects examine robotics in eldercare and historical shifts in New England textile manufacturing.
