Caitlin Kelleher is a Professor of Computer Science & Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, affiliated with the McKelvey School of Engineering and the Division of Computational & Data Sciences. She holds a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University (2006) and a BS from Virginia Tech (1998).
Her research focuses on democratizing programming through user-centered design, particularly for children. Notable projects include Looking Glass and Storytelling Alice, which support novice programmers via innovative interfaces and tutorial systems. Her work emphasizes code reuse, tutorial design, and learning in open-ended environments.
Awarded the NSF Career Award and 2013 Sloan Fellowship, her contributions have earned best paper recognitions at top conferences.
