Caitlin Curtis Whitaker

Caitlin Curtis Whitaker is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. She holds a PhD in Anthropology (Archaeology) and a Master's in Geography (GIS) from the University at Buffalo.

Her research focuses on participatory mapping, GIS applications to social issues, cultural heritage studies, and community engagement in heritage management. She has conducted archaeological research in Turkey and is involved in an educational outreach project at an Armenian archaeological site.

Her publications explore the intersection of sustainability, heritage preservation, and community involvement in archaeological sites, particularly in Turkey and Russia.
