Caitlin Cox serves as Program Manager/IT Specialist, Interim Director of the Dr. William R. Harvey Museum of Art, and UNCF Liberal Arts Innovation Center Grant Program Manager at Talladega College. Previously, she held roles as Library Director at Savery Library and Assistant Director at Oxford Public Library.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in History from Jacksonville State University and a Master of Library and Information Sciences from the University of Alabama, with internships at Satilla Regional Library, W.S. Smith Library (South Georgia State College), and Heritage Werks archival firm.
Her research interests focus on active learning methodologies in higher education, where she advocates for student-centered approaches to improve content retention beyond rote memorization. She integrates library science principles with museum studies to develop innovative educational frameworks, particularly through her leadership in the UNCF LAIC grant initiative focused on liberal arts pedagogy.
As Program Manager for the UNCF grant, she collaborates with Dr. McKay's team to implement active learning strategies across curricula. Her museum directorship involves overseeing exhibitions, collections management, and educational outreach programs that bridge academic theory with community engagement.
