Caitlin C. Abar

Caitlin C. Abar is an Associate Professor at SUNY Brockport, affiliated with the Psychology, Philosophy, and Neuroscience Programs. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from Pennsylvania State University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University.

• Education: Postdoctoral Fellow (Brown University, Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies); Ph.D. and M.S. in Human Development and Family Studies (Pennsylvania State University); B.A. in Psychology/Sociology (SUNY Geneseo).

Research Interests focus on intergenerational health practices, parental influences on young adult health behaviors, parenting during adolescence and emerging adulthood, and developmentally appropriate measurement.
