Caitlin Burchfield

Caitlin Burchfield is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the University of Virginia School of Nursing, specializing in geriatrics and palliative care. She also serves as a primary care provider for UVA's Home-Based Primary Care Program Virginia at Home. Her clinical interests include geriatric frailty and interdisciplinary health education.

Her research focuses on end-of-life decision-making and patient/caregiver satisfaction with hospice services. She holds certifications as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and has presented on frailty screening and medication safety.
