Caitlin Brandenburg is an Honorary Assistant Professor in Bond University's Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine and holds a Conjoint Principal Research Fellow role at Gold Coast Health. She concurrently works part-time as a Health Practitioner Research Fellow at Metro South Health’s Centre for Functioning and Health Research. Her work focuses on applying research to improve patient care through clinical and health services research, with specialties in meta-research, qualitative methods, and health service evaluation.
Education: PhD in Speech Pathology (University of Queensland, 2015), Bachelor of Speech Pathology (University of Queensland, 2010).
Research interests include aphasia rehabilitation, research ethics, evidence-based practice, and healthcare system improvements. She has secured over $1M in competitive grants across 13 projects, including initiatives like 'Enhancing clinician research' and 'TREAT Journal Clubs.' Her recent work explores clinician research experiences and patient perspectives in emergency care.
Rewards: 2021 PAH Research Excellence Awards finalist (Early Career Researcher in Clinical Research).
Leadership: Organized Gold Coast Health Research Week Conferences (2017–2019) and contributed to knowledge translation projects. Collaborates across medical, allied health, and academic sectors to advance healthcare research integration.
