Caitlin A. Howe, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurobiology & Anatomy at Drexel University College of Medicine. She holds a PhD in Human Anatomy from Pennsylvania State University (2017) and a BS in Kinesiology from James Madison University (2013). Her academic leadership includes roles as thread director for Anatomical Sciences in multiple courses and co-course director for Human Structure & Function 2.
Dr. Howe specializes in medical education technology, particularly leveraging 3D scans and virtual dissection tools to enhance anatomy learning. Her outreach efforts include military and first responder training programs in the Gross Anatomy lab. Prior research focused on neurobiological mechanisms linking perinatal high-fat diets to obesity via vagal nerve dysfunction.
