Caden Manson serves as Director of the Theatre Program and MFA Theatre Program at Sarah Lawrence College since 2019, currently on leave for Spring 2026. Holding an MFA from Transart Institute for Creative Research (Liverpool John Moores University) and a BA from the University of Texas-Austin, Manson operates at the intersection of performance, curation, and education.
Their research explores radical queer narrative structures through dense, multilayered performance works utilizing interference and disruption strategies. Manson creates transitory generative critical spaces for participants and audiences across 50+ cities in 14 countries, with co-productions at Vienna Festival, Festival d'Automne à Paris, Hebbel Am Ufer Berlin, and PS122 New York.

Manson's pedagogical practice includes courses like Dynamic Acting: Viewpoints and Frameworks, Beyond the Proscenium: Radical Acting in the Post-Internet Age, and Digital Devising. As founder of Big Art Group and curator of the Contemporary Performance Festival, their work bridges academic theory with radical performance praxis.
