CAROLINA TORRON CASAL

Carolina Torron Casal is a Professor in the Department of Particle Physics at the Faculty of Physics, University of Santiago de Compostela. She holds a Doctorate from the same institution (1992), with a thesis titled Contribution to the study of diamagnetism induced by fluctuations above the superconducting transition of copper oxides, supervised by Dr. Felix Vidal Costa.

Her research focuses on condensed matter physics, quantum materials, and photonics, particularly exploring phenomena like superconductivity and diamagnetism in materials such as copper oxides. She is affiliated with the QMatterPhotonics research group (Quantum Materials and Photonics Group) and the Strategic Grouping in Materials (AEMAT). Her contact email is carolina.torron@usc.es.
