CARLOS CARBALLEIRA ROMERO

Carlos Carballeira Romero is a Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela, affiliated with the Department of Particle Physics within the Faculty of Physics. He is part of the Strategic Grouping in Materials (AEMAT) and the Quantum Materials and Photonics (QMatterPhotonics) research group.

He earned his Doctorate from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2002 with a thesis titled "Contribution to the study of the short-wavelength regime of the thermal fluctuations above Tc in superconductors", supervised by Dr. Felix Vidal Costa and Dr. Manuel Vázquez Ramallo.

His research focuses on condensed matter physics, particularly quantum materials and photonics, with expertise in superconductivity and thermal fluctuations. His work contributes to advancing materials science through interdisciplinary approaches.
