C. Elizabeth Belmont

C. Elizabeth Belmont is the Parker A. Denaco '68L Professor of Law and Director of Experiential Education at Washington and Lee University School of of Law, where she joined in 2000. She also directs the Community Legal Practice Clinic and serves as Clinical Professor of Law.

Her research focuses on Family Law, Elder Law, and Litigation, with a recent publication analyzing pretext in employment discrimination litigation. She has received recognition as a Fellow of the Public Interest Law Initiative.

Belmont's professional experience includes associate roles at Vedder, Price, Kaufman & Kammholz (1989-1995) and Manatt, Phelps & Phillips (1995-1996), followed by leadership positions at Washington and Lee University's legal clinics.
