Büşra Günhan serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Dumlupınar University's Faculty of Engineering, where she has led 14 research projects since 2012 focusing on advanced ceramic applications and decision analysis methodologies.
Her research portfolio spans three interconnected domains:
- Ceramic Engineering: Specializing in bioceramics for dental prosthetics (zirconia blocks, color solutions) and high-tech ceramics for energy systems (solid oxide fuel cells, nanocomposite electrolytes)
- Materials Characterization: Investigating structure-property relationships through flame spray pyrolysis, wet chemical methods, and nanoscale elemental analysis
- Decision Science: Pioneering applications of Analytic Network Process (ANP) and hybrid MCDM methods in materials selection and student admission systems
Analysis of her 13 publications reveals a strategic evolution from foundational waste-recycling studies (2013-2014 stoneware glazes) through dental ceramics optimization (2015-2020) to cutting-edge energy materials research (2022-2023 solid oxide cell electrodes). Recent work demonstrates sophisticated integration of nanomaterials engineering with artificial intelligence-driven optimization techniques.
She has secured competitive funding from TÜBİTAK's Scientific and Technological Research Projects program and Dumlupınar University's infrastructure grants, including the Ministry of Science's SAN-TEZ Industrial Theses Program. Her current leadership in the 2021-2023 nanocomposite anode project underscores active research momentum in sustainable energy materials.
As former member of the Turkish Ceramics Association (2007-2017), she bridges academic research with industrial applications. Her methodological innovations in AHP/ANP extend beyond materials science into educational management, reflecting interdisciplinary impact across engineering and decision science domains.
