Bénédicte Stengel is a Researcher at the Centre for Research in Epidemiology and Population Health (CESP) and Deputy Director of Research at the Graduate School Public Health, Université Paris-Saclay. Her career spans clinical practice, epidemiological innovation, and leadership in chronic kidney disease (CKD) research.
- Physician and PhD in medicine (1982)
- Transitioned to public health research in 1989 (Inserm)
- Principal architect of France's REIN registry (1997-2002)
- Coordinator of CKD-REIN cohort (since 2011)
- Founder of 80-person Clinical Epidemiology team (2020)
- President of iNET-CKD (International Network of Chronic Kidney Disease Cohorts, since 2021)
