Bárður Larsen is an Associate Professor at the University of the Faroe Islands, Faculty of History and Social Sciences, and Programme Leader for both the Master of Legal Practice and Bachelor programmes in Law. His academic career spans over a decade, including roles as Assistant Professor and part-time teacher from 2010 to 2014. He co-designed a recognized legal education program aligning with Danish standards.
- Education: Master of Law from the University of Copenhagen (2002).
Research Interests: Comparative Law, constitutional theory, legal transplants, and autonomy frameworks. His work focuses on institutional design, constitutional interpretation, and administrative law in the Faroe Islands' context.
Projects: Led a Faroese Research Council-funded project (2021–2022) on institution-building within the Danish Rigsfællesskab. Instrumental in establishing Faroese legal education programs.
Teaching: Courses include Church Law, Human Rights Law, Legal History, and Case Analysis. Collaborates with colleagues like Kristian Joensen and Erling Isholm.
