Andras Marni Mortensen is an Associate Professor of History at the University of the Faroe Islands, Faculty of History and Social Sciences. He joined the university in 2017 after a 28-year career at cultural institutions, including Director of the National Museum of the Faroe Islands (2005-2011) and Director of Faroese Cultural Heritage (2011-2017). His academic journey began with a PhD in 2001 on Faroese boat-building traditions.
