Burze Yaşar serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration at TED University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, where she concurrently holds the position of Vice Director of the Graduate School. Her extensive teaching portfolio spans 10+ academic years, covering core courses including Introduction to Management (BA 201), Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship (BA 220), Corporate Finance (BA 304), and New Enterprises (BA 322) across multiple semesters from Fall 2015 through Spring 2025.
Her academic credentials include:
- BS in Business Administration (English) from Marmara University
- MBA from Smith School of Business, University of Maryland
- PhD from Bilkent University
Dr. Yaşar's research integrates practical industry experience with academic rigor, focusing on Management, Finance, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with real-world business applications, informed by her pre-academic role as Credit and Risk Management Assistant at Citibank (1998-2001) and her visiting scholar position at Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. Current research trajectories examine entrepreneurial ecosystem development and financial decision-making in emerging markets.
She has supervised 10 theses and contributed to 1 research project, demonstrating sustained commitment to graduate education. As Vice Director of the Graduate School, she shapes academic policy while maintaining active classroom engagement across undergraduate and graduate programs.
