Burkhard Emme is a Researcher at the Institute of Classical Archaeology within the Department of History and Cultural Studies at Free University of Berlin, where he has been employed since January 1, 2013. He also serves as Deputy academic advisor for the bachelor's program. His academic journey began with studies in Classical Archaeology, Ancient History, Arabic Studies, and Islamic Studies at the Universities of Göttingen and Heidelberg from 2001-2007, followed by doctoral studies at Heidelberg University (2007-2010) funded by the Gerda-Henkel Foundation.
