Bryn S. Esplin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Education at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM), University of North Texas Health Science Center. She specializes in Medical Ethics and Jurisprudence, integrating bioethics, health law, and medical humanities into her teaching and research.
Dr. Esplin holds a law degree and graduated cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in Rhetoric. Her professional training includes a Clinical Bioethics Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic and a Visiting Scholar Residency at Yale University and The Hastings Center. She is certified in Healthcare Ethics Consultation (HEC-C) and as a Patient Safety Specialist (CPPS).
Her research focuses on bioethical issues such as clinical decision-making, advance directives, and the intersection of human rights in healthcare policy. She frequently presents at national and international conferences and has published in peer-reviewed journals like the American Journal of Bioethics and Health and Human Rights Journal.
