Bryan P McCormick is a Professor in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Temple University's College of Public Health. A past president of the American Therapeutic Recreation Association, he is a Fellow in the Academy of Leisure Sciences and the National Academy of Recreation Therapists.

His research focuses on improving social functioning and community participation for adults with serious mental illness through therapeutic recreation. Using mixed-methods approaches, he investigates the role of leisure activities in reducing loneliness and enhancing neurocognition.
Recent publications highlight trends in community integration, GPS mobility tracking, and psychosocial interventions. His work appears in journals like Journal of Leisure Research, Schizophrenia Research, and Journal of Mental Health.
