Dr. Bryan Mead serves as Assistant Provost for Adult and Graduate Studies and Assistant Professor of English at East Texas Baptist University (ETBU). He oversees all adult education and graduate programs—including enrollment, retention, and program development—and previously directed Academic Success services for undergraduate advising, tutoring, and testing.
His research centers on film studies and writing pedagogy, with publications exploring cinematic analysis through Christian theological frameworks. Teaching courses like Rhetoric and Composition and Intro to Cinema, he examines film genres and directors while integrating faith-based perspectives on truth and human experience.
With fifteen years in Christian education, Dr. Mead emphasizes mentoring students to align academic growth with spiritual formation. His prior role as Director of Academic Success involved teaching University Success courses and building support systems for undergraduate achievement.
