The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)معرفی
Bryan H. Druzin serves as Associate Professor of Law and Legal Theory at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Faculty of Law, teaching jurisprudence and ethics. Previously, he held academic positions at King’s College London, Brunel University London, and the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and served as former Director of CUHK’s LLM Programmes.
His educational background includes a B.A., LL.B., and LL.M. from the University of British Columbia and a PhD in law from King’s College London.
Professor Druzin’s research explores institutional theory, international law, global governance, and AI governance through an interdisciplinary lens combining rational choice, game theory, and network dynamics. His seminal contribution applies network effect theory to explain legal standardization and international system stability, examining how governance structures emerge and collapse without centralized authority. This work bridges legal theory with real-world challenges like geopolitical fragmentation and AI regulation.
His recent publications (2016-2025) reveal a cohesive trajectory analyzing anarchic governance systems, with growing emphasis on AI governance and geopolitical fragmentation. The articles consistently employ network theory to investigate institutional resilience, norm evolution, and treaty compliance across diverse contexts from investment arbitration to climate agreements.
His scientific recognition includes:
- CU Research Excellence Award 2015
- University of British Columbia Graduate Scholarship Award 2007
- Hugh M Brock Scholarship Award 2002
