Bryan Gaensler

Bryan Gaensler is a Professor (Status-Only) at the University of Toronto, affiliated with the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics. His research focuses on understanding cosmic magnetism, the interstellar medium, and time-domain astrophysics. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Sydney (1998). His work involves analyzing polarized radio signals from distant galaxies to study galactic and intergalactic magnetic fields, as well as transient and variable celestial phenomena. Gaensler is also involved in developing algorithms for large-scale data analysis and is a key contributor to the Square Kilometre Array project.
