Bryan Boyle

Bryan Boyle is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne and a Visiting Professor in the Sociology Department at the Free University of Brussels. He previously held positions as a Visiting Scholar at the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (2020) and a Visiting Researcher at the International Inequalities Institute, LSE (2020). From 2017 to 2025, he was a Doctoral Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the Free University of Brussels.

His educational background includes:

• BA in Sociology and Politics, Nottingham Trent University (2011-2014)

Boyle's research focuses on social class and elites, with additional interests in labor sociology, cultural sociology, and ecological sociology. His work examines the interplay between social structures and environmental factors, contributing to interdisciplinary sociological discourse that bridges traditional sociological domains with ecological considerations.
