Bruno Cornellier is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Winnipeg and serves as the Graduate Program Chair for the M.A. in Cultural Studies. His work bridges cultural studies, film studies, and critical race theory, focusing on settler colonial dynamics, Indigenous sovereignty, and racial identity in Canadian and Québécois contexts.
His research interrogates the intersections of class, race, and colonialism in contemporary Québec cinema and society. Key themes include cultural appropriation, the politics of copyleft, and the role of narrative in constructing identity and memory.
