Dr. Bruno Biermann is a Research Associate and PostDoc Assistant at the Old Testament Seminar of the University of Münster, where he has been conducting research since September 2024. He is currently pursuing his Habilitation on 'Ritualisierte Neuordnungen: Zur Dynamik königlicher Rituale in Literatur und Geschichte des Alten Israel' at the same institution.
Education:
He completed his doctoral studies at the University of Bern (2020-2024) with a dissertation titled 'Stamp Seals as Prism for the Gender History of the Southern Levant,' earning summa cum laude distinction. His theological education includes an MA equivalent in Protestant Theology (2020) with studies at Erlangen, Münster, Basel, and Tübingen, complemented by specialized coursework in Islamic Theology at Münster (2017-2018) and an ecumenical study year at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut.
