Han Brunner is a full Professor and Head of the Department of Human Genetics at Radboud University Medical Center, Nijmegen, the Netherlands. He has held this position since 1998 and previously served as a clinical geneticist and researcher in the same department. His work focuses on elucidating genetic causes of birth defects, intellectual disability, and behavioral genetics, with translational research into genomic medicine.
Education: MD from University of Groningen (1975-1984), clinical genetics training at Nijmegen University under Ben ter Haar and HH Ropers. PhD thesis on Myotonic Dystrophy (1993).
