Bruce Bunnell

Bruce Bunnell is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Genetics at the University of North Texas Health Science Center's College of Biomedical and Translational Sciences. His research program focuses on regenerative medicine, stem cells, and tissue engineering, particularly using mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) for therapeutic applications in immune diseases, wound repair, and bone regeneration.

Research Focus: Investigating adipose-derived stem cells for osteoarthritis, multiple sclerosis, and lipedema treatment; developing microphysiological systems for human knee modeling; engineering tissues using decellularized scaffolds.
