Brooklyn Loxtercamp is a Nursing Faculty member at Augsburg University's School of Health, teaching in the BSN completion and Master’s of Arts in Nursing programs. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Leadership from the College of Saint Benedict (2020) and a BSN from Saint John’s University (2016). Her work is deeply rooted in the Health Commons model, with a focus on community health, transcultural nursing, and inclusive education.

Research Interests:
Brooklyn explores mentorship dynamics in nursing education, emphasizing stress reduction, collaboration, and well-being. Her current projects include developing a New Faculty Mentorship Program and a Formal Faculty Reflection, Growth, and Wellbeing program at Augsburg. She also investigates transcultural nursing and curriculum design through community engagement.
Scientific Awards:
Broadened her expertise via the Advancing Religious Pluralism Fellowship, aiming to enhance inclusive teaching practices.
Teaching & Practice:
Previously a registered nurse in medical-surgical oncology, she served as preceptor, mentor, and unit safety champion at M Health Fairview, later contributing to Augsburg’s Health Commons sites in North Minneapolis.
